Gmail is a free email service developed by none other than the tech giant – Google and has been the primary platform for millions of users , Gmail service started as a limited beta release on April 1, 2004, and the testing phase  ended on July 7, 2009. Since then we have seen so many changes and today, this stupendous email service comes with 15 gigabytes of storage.  Let’s talk about one of its key features that Users can receive emails up to 50 megabytes in size, including the attachments, while users can also send emails up to 25 megabytes, which is really a big size. If the users want to send larger size files, they can insert files from Google drive into the message.

What fascinates a user about the Gmail is that it has search oriented interface and the conversation view is quite similar to an internet forum. Google drive is also one of the best storage space provided by Google which offers you to store and share your files on cloud platform so that the user can access those files anywhere at any time. Gmail has some really good comfy features like – attaching the files – it can be a image, PDF or any document. It scans the new mains automatically and also has some creative features like Theme for the Gmail page.

What are the new features introduced?

With technology reaching new heights and new updates coming up so that users can feel more comfortable while using Gmail. This time Gmail has introduced three new features for its users. Let’s discuss about those new features:

Shortcut to undo/redo in the compose window –

The compose window is where the user can write the mail and send it to the recipient. The compose window appears on right hand side at the bottom. Though it has almost all the features but it didn’t have undo/redo shortcut. At times, users mistakenly or intentionally delete the written mail but were not able to undo the action. So need not to worry now, there would be a undo/redo shortcut in the compose window now.

Shortcut to strikethrough texts –

Though Bold, Italic and underline the texts option is already available but users will be able to strike through the texts now. This feature is already present along with other under the formatting section but Gmail will introduce a shortcut for this function in the compose window so that the user need not have to go to formatting option to strike through the text.

Download the messages as .EML files in rfc822 format from Gmail on the web –

Now you would be wondering that what is .EML file extension?

.EML file extension for email files is also referred as RFC-822 file format which was created in 1982 as a booster in RFC-733. Its main purpose was to simplify the address standards which were not uniformly recognized in software business.  The basic purpose of EML file extension function is to storing email messages as a plain text file in standard file structure. With coming of this functionality users can now add the downloaded messages as attachments in their emails.

Presently there is no option in Gmail to download the existing or new mails in the inbox. The sole purpose to introduce this feature is to get away with “Inbox in Gmail “so that one would directly see the mails and attachments with those mails. Gmail has been the first choice of business class , New electronic gadgets like laptop and tabs are coming in 2019 with all new features and comfort and its for sure that those new upcoming business tech gadgets in 2019 would definitely have these features in the Gmail. The G suite blog post says that this feature would be available in next few days. The focused approach is to provide more comfort to the user.
