Honor Launch First 5G Smartphone
Spread the love

Launch First 5G Smartphone – Huawei’s sub-brand Honor has been growing up to its own identity over the past few years. Known mainly for budget and mid-range, value devices, Honor is now planning to dip its toes into more advanced territory as it has revealed plans to release a 5G smartphone soon. In an interview, Honor’s president Mr. George Zhao confirmed that the company is indeed working on a 5G smartphone which they might launch soon. Honor’s 5G phone is expected to arrive in the second half of this year, which is a very wide window that also puts it behind other OEMs that have similar plans. With regards to the exact details of when and which device, the final plan depends heavily on the operator’s infrastructure and progress.

However Honor is receiving all the love and respect from all over the world but still, there are some complications that they might face in the future. Its parent company Huawei, has been under investigation of the US government from past few time.  It was recently charged with stealing trade secrets. This will then hamper the entry and other progresses of Huawei and all the other Chinese OEMs into the US. It is also being said that if the charges against Huawei are proved all right then the company might face hefty punishment, which could involve an exit from the US smartphone market. So, now here if it happens and Honor gets out of US smartphone market then it will eventually be the resultant market situation that would be hostile to OEMs from all the parts of China as they would be seen with eyes having lack of trust. As Honor is gearing up in the smartphone world and its market so closing up of the company in the market will drastically degrade and lower down all the goodwill of the company and at the end subsequently other company’s goodwill and value will be increased.

As for now, all we know is Honor’s plans might just stay focused on other key markets like Europe, Asia, which are literally behind the US in terms of general 5G rollout. Honor also faces competition from other OEMs like Samsung, LG, OnePlus, Motorola, as all of these are also somewhere planning to launch their very first 5G phones as soon as possible. Some of the companies have already announced that they will be launching a 5G smartphone as early as this month. But for Honor Zhao didn’t really provided much details and knowledge about their up come 5G phone for now. Accoriding to Zhao, the release of a 5G compatible device was about to happen way back in September 2018 but due to some regular checks and other protocols, it couldn’t happen. In the past few years, with a lot of interesting mobile phones, Honor has gained a lot of reputation in the market. According to a survey it was also seen that they have acquired a handsome market in the Indian society. The brand has become very popular and favored when it comes to the budget and mid-range market space for smart devices. Looking at all these things the Huawei subscidaries have often shied away from entering the flagship range. But with the release of the Honor View 20, it is evident enough that the winds have changed now. They have shown the other big brands that they can also produce a master smartphone and that too in budget. Meanwhile, the brand Huawei has not wasted any time in getting their 5G masterstroke ready to showcase in the Mobile World Congress 2019. At a recent event a China, the company’s Consumer Business Group CEO Richard Yu confirmed the smartphone giant’s plans with the launch a new 5G compatible smartphone based on Huawei’s own Hisilicon Kirin 980 SoC and Balong 500. He has also furthered the best possible features and also reiterated the capability of the Balong 5000 5G modem. He also stating that it could offer a smooth and fast speed which can touch up to 6.5 GBps of 5G speeds.

However, Honor’s plans could all be throttled by recent sanctions placed on its parent company. Huawei’s relationship with the US government is frosty, to say the least. The company faces 13-counts of the indictment in the country, not to mention the ban of Huawei’s telecommunications equipment for 5G networks in New Zealand and Australia. And, the company’s problems could only worsen if neighbors Japan also decide to follow suit. And it has been in news many times that, none of these sanctions or restrictions has ever and will ever impact Huawei’s business across the European, Indian, and Chinese markets. They have their own strategies to overcome all the obsticles and win over the now favorites, “One Plus”, “Vivo”, and “Oppo”.

The company has grown significantly in the past few years and has shown no signs of slowing down, overtaking Apple as the second- largest manufacturer of smartphone in the world. And, unlike Huawei the Honor brand has embedded itself in the budget and mid-range markets, a space that has seen considerable innovation and growth in the last couple of years. With the release of Honor, the company has always thought of getting the result tha is always unexpected. So, not just the experts but also common man is waiting for the launch of 5g , so that they are able to feel the speed of the phone they use.
