Recently, Reliance JIO has announced a tariff hike which will be in effect from 6th December 2019. Reliance JIO will hike the traffic by 40% on its All-in-One prepaid plans. Not only Reliance JIO, but all other major telecom operators in India like Vodafone Idea and Airtel are also taking their chances to increase the tariff rates. Reliance JIO has issued a press release where the telecom operator has mentioned some of the details regarding the traffic hike which would be pursuing in the coming days of December. After the hike, the Reliance JIO All in one tariff plan would cost the subscriber a bit higher than the previous rates.
Reliance JIO has joined the unison of other telecom operators to inform its subscribers that they are going to increase the tariffs of all their plans which will be applicable from December. Reliance JIO has already informed all its subscribers about the quantum of the tariff hike and also the benefits which they would get after recharging their number with the hiked price. But still, Reliance JIO has not announced any specifics about the hiked tariff plans.
Reliance JIO New All-in-One Plans for Prepaid Users
It is worth mentioning that Reliance JIO has announced that they are going to launch a new all-in-one tariff plan which would come with 40% tariff hike. But, the all-in-one plan launched by Reliance JIO recently comes with all offerings that bundle everything from unlimited calling to data, SMS and even some IUC minutes which subscribers can use to make calls to other networks priced at 6 paise/min.
But, after the announcement, it signifies that the price of the All-In-One tariff plan by Reliance JIO would take the higher jump of 40% and hence subscribers are required to pay a higher amount for their monthly recharge in coming days once the hike will be in effect. However, the other Reliance JIO Unlimited Plan would remain the same without any hike in the rates.
Reliance JIO Tariff Hike for Data and Price Increment
It is worth considering the fact that the tariff hike on all its prepaid plans will be applicable from December 6, 2019. But the incumbents have already hiked the prices of their tariff plans and they will start retailing the new plans with hiked charges before Reliance JIO. Reliance JIO has mentioned clearly that the new charges on the tariff plans will be in effect from the 6th of December and all subscribers who would be recharging their number after 6th December need to pay the extra charges applicable in their plans.
When it comes to benefits of all-in-one after 40% hike, Reliance JIO has announced that it would be offering more benefits which would be 300% more than what they are getting presently. This is for the convenience of the subscribers and they can now expect to get more benefits after the price hike in their all-in-one plans. Apart from this Reliance, JIO has also mentioned in their press release that after the price hike the subscribers of all-in-one would get additional IUC units to make outgoing calls to other networks. What Initiatives Reliance JIO Have Taken to Reduce Charges?
Reliance JIO has also mentioned in their press release that they will continue to work with the government for the consultation process and revision of the all-in-one plan and looking forward to the participation from all its stakeholders.
In the past 12 months, Reliance JIO has managed to add over 1 million subscribers to their network with a minimum churn rate of 0.74% which is quite low in the industry average. Moreover, it has also observed more than 3 times increase in their voice and data tariff, of which the popular is the Reliance JIO Recharge offers 399 which gives multiple benefits and higher IUC units to call other networks. It still manages to attract more subscribers to its network by its deeper 4G network presence and the cheaper Reliance JIO Recharge Plan List 2019. Both first-time mobile users, as well as veteran Smartphone users, are equally attracted to their tariff plans and services despite the hike of 40%.
