  • Over-speeding penalties up to Rs. 2000 for light vehicles and Rs. 4000 for medium passenger or goods car
  • Driving without insurance penalty is Rs. 2000 or imprisonment up to 3 months
  • Driving despite disqualification penalty is Rs. 10000
  • Unauthorized use of vehicles without proper license penalty is Rs. 5000
  • Driving when physically and the mentally unfit penalty is Rs. 1000
  • Offenses regarding accident penalty include Rs. 5000 or imprisonment up to 6 months
  • Violation of road regulations penalty includes Rs. 1000
  • Traveling without tickets in public transport penalty includes Rs. 500
  • General penalty for the first offender is Rs. 500 and for a second-time penalty is Rs. 1500

People who drive roughly on road and don’t provide pass to the emergency vehicles like ambulance would also be charged now and the penalty set for such driver is Rs. 10000 or community service.

What Rules Drivers in Delhi Must Obey Now?
